Hailey Wojcik: Bio

Hailey Wojcik

Indie singer-songwriter Hailey Wojcik blends witty lyrics with unique guitar, ukulele and keyboard musings to come up with something beautiful on her newest album, Jealous Sees. Hailey's music is refreshingly original and unforgettable, with songs ranging from achingly earnest ballads about jealousy, heartbreak and feminism, to sarcastic songs about quitting dead-end jobs and getting dug like a dinosaur bone. Hailey's music has garnered national attention from the press, festivals, and college radio stations.

Her music video for "Dinosaur Bone" was recently a Top Featured Video on YouTube.com, handpicked by the Music Editor. Her album Jealous Sees was one of Performing Songwriter magazine’s Top 12 DIY albums for January/February 2006.

In recent months, Hailey has shared the stage with national acts such as Ingrid Michaelson, and has been chosen to perform at several music conferences including the South Park Music Festival, the Midwest Music Summit and the Midpoint Music Festival. Despite her young age, Hailey already has a broad-spanning career, including airplay on over 100 radio stations across the country, including Mitch Albom's nationally syndicated radio talk show.

Currently at work on an upcoming release, her style has only matured since she released her first CD, Hairy Woodchuck at age 14. Her next two albums, Chimpanzee Politics (2001) and Girls' State (2004) were released to an ever-growing audience. Hailey has long been a fixture in the Michigan music scene, and her popularity is quickly spreading as she tours throughout the country. Hailey continues to tour and also pursues her music career in her new home, New York.
